Matthew Levy, DVM

Dr. Matthew Levy is the owner and founder of Levy Veterinary Hospital and a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. He began his loved of animals from a young age, working in every field involving animals that he could, from volunteering as a caretaker for the giraffes and rhinoceroses at Audubon Zoo during high school to assisting with DNA research at the LSU Reproductive Biology Center. His passion for animals continued to drive him while at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, earning him special honors in diagnostic imaging and small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Levy continues to take a special interest in ultrasound, and his research has even been published in the Journal of Veterinary Radiology and Ultrasound. During his spare time, Dr. Levy enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily; their three children, Caleb, Sophie, and Natalie; and their two four-legged family members, Zoey (pug) and Abigail (Golden Retriever).
